Courses in English
The B.A. in Government and International Affairs consists of 4 years of full-time training and attracts annually many international applicants interested in state and international relations, law and economics, governance and management, and Russian domestic politics. The two-year “Governance and Global Affairs” Master’s Program in International Affairs was created to provide both Russian and international students with the skills required for employment in international organizations.
The two-year Political Science “Politics and Economics in Eurasia” Master’s Program contrives to meet the needs of rising public service leaders and professionals by offering up-to-date, firsthand information about Russia and Eurasia from the Russian perspective.
Exchange students
Exchange students study at MGIMO for one or two semesters under a student exchange agreement with a partner university. Exchange students attend elective lectures and seminars in Russian and upon completing the course requirements, obtain credits under the European (ECTS) or the American (UCS) systems.
Visiting students
Visiting students apply independently to study at MGIMO and pay a tuition fee depending on the length of their stay and number of courses chosen. They receive the same academic and practical treatment as exchange students and can live on campus.
International
Summer School MGIMO Summer School offers two English language modules, in Russian foreign policy and Russian energy policy. Each module includes a major course instruction, a choice of two elective courses and a Russian language course. Courses in English cover such issues as Russian foreign policy, Russia and the world economy, contemporary Russian energy policy, and political trends in Russia.
